Hudson Ferreira Santos, 32, of Palmyra, was arrested on August 5 in connection with the violent rape of a 22-year-old.
Santos is accused of physically assaulting, strangling, digitally penetrating and raping a woman at her home at Spring Valley Road in East Hempfield Township on June 3.
The rape was reported to police on June 5.
Santos has been charged with the following:
- Rape (F1)
- Sexual Assault (F2)
- Aggravated Indecent Assault (F2) (2 Counts)
- Indecent Assault (M1)
- Indecent Assault (M2)
- Strangulation (F2)
Santos was held in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $400,000.
His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
